Overview
The Integrous system includes several field types with generic names by default—especially in areas where customer terminology varies. These labels can be customized to better match your internal language.
Common customization scenarios include:
Sales progression fields: Rename generic stage names (e.g., "Stage 2 Date" → "MQL Date")
Fields from related objects: Relabel fields pulled from related records (e.g., "Lead/Contact Custom Field 1" → "Lead/Contact Territory")
You can override these labels using Salesforce’s Translation Workbench.
This is an optional customization. It does not impact the underlying field API names or how the system processes data—only how field names display to users in Salesforce.
Why This Matters
Customizing field labels ensures your Integrous Analytics system reflects the language your team already uses. This alignment improves comprehension, supports better user adoption, and makes reports more intuitive across teams.
Prerequisite: Enable Translation Workbench
Before customizing labels, you need to enable Translation Workbench in your org.
To enable Translation Workbench:
Go to Setup
In the Quick Find box, enter
Translation Language Settings
Select Translation Language Settings
Click Enable
Make sure English is active
Make sure a Translation User is assigned
This is the user who has permission to manage translations for each active language
You can do this from the Translation Language Settings page in Setup
Sales Progression Fields
Sales Progression is one of the core types of information captured in the Integrous Analytics system, enabling reporting on funnel milestones such as lead routed/working, opportunity/pipeline creation, and win. These milestones are tracked using date and owner fields with generic names.
For example, you might prefer:
Default Label | Custom Label Example |
---|---|
Stage 1 Date | Activation Date |
Stage 2 Date | MQL Date |
Stage 3 Date | SAL Date |
There are 48 stage-related fields that customers often want to customize (12 fields on 4 objects):
The 12 Stage-related fields:
Stage 1 Date
Stage 1 Owner
Stage 2 Date
Stage 2 Owner
Stage 3 Date
Stage 3 Owner
Stage 4 Date
Stage 4 Owner
Stage 5 Date
Stage 5 Owner
Stage 6 Date
Stage 6 Owner
All 12 fields are on the following objects:
Leads
Contacts
Opportunities
Engagements
❗If any of these fields are customized, we strongly recommend customizing them on all four objects in parallel to ensure reporting consistency and avoid confusion.
For more info about these stages and how to configure them, see the Sales Progression Measurement and Sales Stage Configuration articles.
Fields from Related Objects
Another common field label customization is for the Fields From Related Objects.
These fields are on Engagement records and are labeled according to the object from which the data originates:
Lead/Contact Custom Field 1
Lead/Contact Custom Field 2
Lead/Contact Custom Field 3
Opportunity Custom Field 1
Opportunity Custom Field 2
Opportunity Custom Field 3
Related Object Custom Field 1
Related Object Custom Field 2
Related Object Custom Field 3
Examples:
Default Label | Custom Label Example |
---|---|
Lead/Contact Custom Field 1 | Lead/Contact Territory |
Lead/Contact Custom Field 2 | Lead/Contact Industry |
Opportunity Custom Field 1 | Opportunity Next Step |

How to Customize Field Labels
The Translation Workbench process is the same for both use cases. Follow these steps:
In Setup, go to Translation Workbench > Override
At the top of the screen, select the following options:
Package: Integrous Analytics
Language: English
Setup Component: Custom Field
Object: [Choose the appropriate object – see notes below]
Aspect: Field Label
Scroll down the list to find the label you want to change (e.g., "Stage 2 Date" or "Lead/Contact Custom Field 1")
Double-click in the adjacent cell to the right and enter your preferred label (e.g., "MQL Date" or "Territory")
Repeat for any additional fields you want to relabel
Click Save
Visit a record in Salesforce to confirm the updated labels are displaying correctly
❗Important Notes by Use Case
For Sales Progression Fields:
You'll need to repeat these steps for all four objects (Leads, Contacts, Opportunities, and Engagements) to maintain consistency
Make sure to use the same custom labels across all objects to avoid confusion in reporting
For Fields from Related Objects:
These fields only appear on Engagement records, so you only need to update labels on the Engagement object
These fields reflect the current value on the related record, not the value at the time of the engagement, so consider including "Current" in your labels when appropriate (e.g., "Lead/Contact Current Status" or "Lead/Contact Current Owner")
General Notes:
Overrides may take some time to apply. If translated labels are not displaying as expected, try clearing your browser cache to ensure the latest updates are reflected
Admins can set up translation overrides for other languages as well
Setting up translation overrides applies to all users who have English selected as their language
